Your journey commences with the very first step – reaching out. Whether you're contemplating counseling in Taunton or have queries about how therapy can support you, please don't hesitate to connect with me. I'm here to offer the guidance and assistance you require, conveniently located in Taunton, Somerset.

  1. Why do people come to counselling?

People seek counselling for various reasons, such as gaining insights, navigating shifts or transitions, initiating change, addressing emotional pain, processing past traumas, or during times of crisis. Counselling can provide valuable support and guidance throughout these experiences, offering a beneficial resource for personal growth and well-being.

  1. What happens in a counselling session?

During our sessions, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can openly express your feelings and emotions. As your therapist, I actively listen and help you better understand your thoughts and emotions. Together, we work towards finding your own solutions to the challenges you may be facing.

  1. Where is your office?

My office is conveniently located in central Taunton at The Albemarle Centre, Albemarle Road, just off Station Road. Suppose this location is inconvenient for you or, for any reason, you cannot access the office. In that case, we can discuss the option of online or telephone sessions to ensure accessibility.

  1. How much does it cost?

The cost per session is £50. Each session lasts for 50 minutes. There is no obligation to commit to a specific number of sessions, and you are welcome to continue attending as long as you feel comfortable. I also offer a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate for students and individuals with lower incomes.

  1. What is the cancellation policy?

I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. With sufficient notice, we can accommodate rescheduling based on availability. The session will be charged at the full rate for cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice.

  1. What are the accepted payment methods?

Payment for sessions can be made via bank transfer (BACS) on the day of the session or in cash. Subsequent sessions should also be paid using the same method and transferred to my account on the day of our session.

  1. Is confidentiality maintained during our appointments?

All counselling sessions are confidential and adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Data Protection Act. As a counsellor, I engage in supervision to discuss relevant issues from the counselling relationship while preserving clients' anonymity. In exceptional cases, confidentiality may be breached under specific circumstances, such as obtaining your consent, consulting with other professionals, or when legally compelled by a court of law or statutory law.

  1. How can I schedule a session with you?

To schedule a session, please contact me to discuss the best time and day for you. We can also determine whether you prefer face-to-face counselling, or online or telephone sessions. Once we agree on a convenient time, I will book the session for you.

If you're prepared to arrange an appointment, have inquiries, or seek further information, please feel free to get in touch.
